Ultra Rich Balm

Great moisturiser for dry, sensitive and eczema prone skin. Have been using it for more than 1 year now.

I have been suffering from very dry facial skin. My usual moisturizers were not working so I used a small dab of this and evenly applied to my face and neck. My skin looked and felt better instantly and remained hydrated throughout the day. This is a wonderful product, thank you.

I'm perimenopausal with very sensitive skin prone to dryness and I have increasing sensitivity to products and ingredients. I have had a recent episode of burning scalp followed by flaky scalp (hormone-related eczema I reckon) and my usual gentle organic natural shampoo etc was unusually causing stinging and irritation. I tried the Odylique Gentle Herbal shampoo after doing some internet research and was really pleased with how it didn't sting , I left it on for the few minutes as advised and even though my hair felt coarse when I rinsed it off, when it was dry it was lovely and soft and shiny . I thought I would then order and try the Ultra Balm to see if it would help to further soothe and control the flaky scalp . I used the ultra balm trial size - just rubbing it into my scalp when my hair was dry and left it for hours (looked like I had dipped my head in a chip pan) . I probably did use a bit too much and left it on a tad too long but..... it seems to have sorted my scalp and after a few washes with this new shampoo since using the Ultra Balm, my scalp is no longer neither sore nor itchy and my hair is still much softer that it has been for months. It had gone very wiry recently as my lady hormones are clearly dropping off . My scalp isn't stinging with the gentle herbal shampoo so I will keep using it . If there are any frizzy days , I just rub a tiny bit of the ultra balm on the ends after it's dried, as they advise and it's lovely and my hair doesn't go greasy as long as I only use a teeny tiny bit. So a big pot will last ages! I think it's great that they do a tiny sample size and then two other sizes which I think is so sensible for people who aren't sure about it. I'm really impressed with the company so far....
Have just received a large pot of the Ultra Balm as I have really fallen in love with it now!! I now use it on my dry hands , face , lips, feet, arms and legs as well as my hair! Is there anywhere I can't use this?! You really only need a very small amount and it goes a long way . I really like the very faint scent - hardly anything at all and I find it very pleasant. I could give it 6 stars I reckon! ????

This balm is VERY moisturising, it is very effective when I get dry skin, especially on my calves.
I use this occasionally on my scalp as a scalp mask and find that it does work quite well, but it's hard to use the right amount of balm. If I use very sparingly it doesn't moisturise my scalp as well but if I use more then it is very hard to wash out of my hair. I would recommend using it as a scalp mask during a weekend in as it may need a few washes before your hair doesn't look very greasy.
I've had this for a year and barely made a dent in it (although I do only use it occasionally), so it is very good value for your money despite the price seeming expensive initially.

This stuff is amazing! I've been using it together with the herb shampoo on my very tangly hair and it is a dream. I only use the tinyest amount and the brush glides through. It is also great for dry skin patches. Because you only use such a tiny amount, I can see it lasting for ages. All without damaging the planet :-)

Lovely light balm, did not affect my sensitive skin at all. I bought this as part of a set, not sure I'd buy it alone but it is a nice product.

I initially bought this after reading your skin care guide for eczema for my boyfriend. I explained a thin layer put on before showering will protect the delicate damaged parts of skin from being dried out by the water. Post-shower he confirmed his skin was still supple. I've used the same principle for my hair ends! I rub a very small amount on the ends of my hair on the day before my wash and wear in a bun and then the ends are nicely protected during the washing process. I found this balm a bit too heavy to use after washing but before washing it works a charm.

I bought a small pot of this which makes a great travel size. You only need a tiny amount as it really is rich. You won't benefit from applying a lot - you'll just end up greasy. Little as often as required works best for me. It really is a multipurpose product. I've used it face, body, hair and scalp. It's a great for all the family too. My shins are dry and flaky at the moment and this works a treat - much better than any chemical laden watery lotion.

This moisturiser is really great for dry skin anywhere, including dry lips, and I do like its smell. Great product.

I use this product on my allergy prone skin and it works wonders. That said, my review is to also let you know how good it can be for dogs as well. My little Staffordshire bull terrier also suffers from seasonal allergies and has the occasional 'hot spot' that causes her to scratch that area frequently. I decided to use what I use on her and to my delight this lovely Ultra Rich Balm worked on her as well. She had very red skin at the base of her tail, not the best of areas so I put some of this on and the itching stopped immediately, the next day it was a calmer pink tone and the day after that, basically gone. I highly recommend this product.

I'd been trying everything to clear up eczema on my face and neck, some worked for a short time but the red, sore, inflamed, itchy mess always appeared back again. Bought samples of Odylique and my skin improved, really improved, still can't believe it cleared up my, as I thought, damaged beyond repair, skin. I'm keeping everything crossed that this miracle continues to improve my old, now new skin!
