Product Overview
"This stuff is amazing! I've been using it together with the herb shampoo on my very tangly hair and it is a dream. I only use the tiniest amount and the brush glides through. It is also great for dry skin patches. Because you only use such a tiny amount, I can see it lasting for ages." Emma, Odylique Customer

Apply anywhere on the body, and sparingly on the face, as a dry, flaky skin moisturiser. It’s also as an excellent intensive treatment for dry hair ends and cracked heels. Great when ski-ing, or to protect ultra-sensitive skin from chlorinated pools.

5 Great balm
Posted by Linda on 9th Jul 2017
I bought this mainly because I had purchased the gentle herb shampoo and wanted the balm to hand in case I needed it to help me on the path to being conditioner free. Well - I've used it on my hair, lips, feet, elbows and any kind of dry place and it's fantastic. A little goes a long way and it works really works. I know already that come winter this will be tucked in my bag every day.

5 Perfect Glow
Posted by Martha on 25th May 2017
Although this product is an amazing lip balm and for under the eyes before I put on my night cream. This product is amazing to put on before makeup. If youre heading out; wash your face, let it air dry, then use a light moisturiser or just use this ultra rich balm in the areas you are later going to highlight ie. your cupids bow, top of your cheek bones, brow bone etcetera and then once it has slightly dried you can do your skin routine over the top.. another great way to use it as a highlighter is if you are someone who wears very little makeup or a light CC cream etcetera then using the balm over the top as a highlighter (more natural one ofcourse) looks so beautiful!

5 Great balm
Posted by COH on 24th May 2017
This wonderful balm was bought for me to try on my very dry scalp and it worked but I found it quite hard to get in on the scalp without getting it all over the hair. So I gave it to my husband to try on his eczema. Initially he used directly onto the skin and it helped to clear it up. After talking to the very helpful staff at Odylique and they suggested putting the repair lotion on the skin first and then putting this balm on top. He tried this and it worked! The repair lotion moisturises and then this balm locks the moisturiser in and stops it during out during the day. Brilliant. Highly recommended.

5 The most useful product ever
Posted by Gemma on 1st May 2017
This is a "desert island" product - if you had to take one cosmetic, this is it. Great for skin anywhere on your body, even your face as its not shiny. A really effective hair serum too. I keep the trial size pot in my handbag for a handy moisture boost on the go and as a lip balm too.

5 It's saved my skin in winters
Posted by Nidhi on 30th Jan 2017
I love everything about the balm - that it spreads easily, is organic, and feels like a blanket that's protecting the skin from the drying winter. I have never experienced such soft skin before. Really grateful for this!

5 Intensive treatment
Posted by Sue C on 19th Dec 2016
I have had amazing results using the Repair lotion for dermatitis on my hand and use the Ultra Rich Balm as a night time treatment on my hands. it is very rich as only a tiny amount needed but if I do have too much on my hand I run my fingers through ends of my hair as great conditioner. It is a multi purpose balm and certainly one of the best ones I have tried over the years. Has a medicinal scent which is not strong. I would say to anyone with skin problems to try both the Repair Lotion and the Balm as an effective treatment.

5 LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!
Posted by CADY on 12th Dec 2016
My skin is a nightmare. My lips go through phases where they are dry and crusty for no reason.
I used to use a bees wax and lavender balm a friend makes up but she recently started adding comfry to her blend and now I react to it.
I've tried other commercially available bees wax balms without success throughout this year and in August discovered the tiny tub of Odylique's Ultra Rich Balm.
I was very grateful for the ability to order a tiny tub to try the product because as anyone with tricky skin will agree, it gets so expensive trying to find something that works. Well, THIS WORKS!! Its been a life saver so I am returning now to get a larger tub. I agree with one of the other reviews that said it can get a bit greasy if you are over zealous with it, but, you only make that mistake once and then realise that the tiniest amount goes a very long way. THANK YOU ODYLIQUE!! -
4 Good but went lumpy after a bit
Posted by Sophia on 26th Nov 2016
This is a good product and very hydrating (I have eczema and it doesn't make my skin flare up) - it can get a bit greasy if you put too much on. However the batch I received in the summer went a bit funny with lots of little lumps in the texture which meant it wasn't as nice to put on - hopefully the new one I've just ordered will be better.

Hi Sophia, thank you for your comment! The lumps are most likely just one of the products crystallising - this happens when the product is kept somewhere too warm then cooled down slowly. It doesn't affect the quality of the balm though and the crystals will 'melt' on application. We recommend keeping all of our products somewhere cool and dark. Glad to hear you like the balm! :) -
5 Not too greasy
Posted by Kelly on 22nd Nov 2016
I really appreciate this balm. Not too greasy. I have acne and it hasn't cause break outs. Nice for my hair, skin. Just the right amount of conditioning for me. I'm really glad that I waited for delivery. USA customer.

4 Ultra Rich Balm
Posted by Tracy Godfrey on 25th Oct 2016
Used once on my hair as I do have very dry coloured (grey) hair - didn't like it at all. I do have very dry sensitive skin on my arms and legs so used it on them which left my skin feeling very soft and smooth.

Hi Tracy! Thanks for your review. A good tip to gauge the amount of Ultra Rich Balm needed ion the hair s to by rub the tiniest pea-sized amount between your palms, scrunch into your (completely dried) hair ends only, then brush or comb through to distribute along the hair shaft. As it is so rich, this is often all that's needed to improve condition and shine. -
5 Dry Skin Boost
Posted by Faye on 18th Jun 2016
I generally do not suffer from skin problems, but think that this product is excellent for removing make-up and generally moisturizing dry skin. My partner has incredibly sensitive skin, so uses this, including on his face, and it works perfectly for him. I'm delighted, as he's very conservative - no perfume or fuss! I did have a minor irritation on my wrist last winter, which was very sore, so of course used this balm, and it cleared it up in just a few days, with no reappearance. It gave me some inkling of how unpleasant this condition can be for my partner and for all your customers who have gained relief from painful skin problems.

4 Good, but not absorbed straight away into skin
Posted by Sophia on 2nd Apr 2016
This was a good moisturiser and has an ok smell, but is very greasy, and actually i found that my really bad eczema skin would need lots and lots of application all the time. I thought the repair lotion was better and more soothing for my very bad eczema. However, i have also been putting it on the ends of my hair and it seems very hydrating!
