Gentle Herb Shampoo

Hi, I'm 47 and have suffered with psoriasis since my late twenties. Years ago my sister recommended what used to be Essentail Care products , and I have not looked back since. Although I started off with the Repair Lotion and a separate body wash, I noŵ only use this shampoo for my hair, face and body.
Every now and then I experiment with some new wonder product that I might see in a Health shop or on-line, but frankly nothing has been as good as this little, basic lifesaver. Now the mum of two sons going through the acne, I have found that this mild formula is just what their skin and hair need, too. The rest of the family had been using sensitive skin Sanex, but I have just bitten the bullet on cost and now splash out on the 500ml bottles - although I've been very clear on how little is required to do the job without stripping natural oils away(!)
One of the reasons that I am happy to pay extra for a specialist product for the kids, is because I feel sure that some of my skin issues are the result of over-washing with harsh cleansers as a teenager, and I don't want them to fall into the same trap.

This was easy to use and left my hair feeling really clean and soft and my scalp feeling healthy. I have used other natural shampoos so was not surprised or worried that this shampoo did not foam up. However I was a little surprised by the texture which felt a bit bitty. Also I do miss having a beautiful scent. This has no fragrance, which is not my preference, althugh I realise it is probably a good thing for people with highly sensitive skin.

I received my very first order yesterday, I bought the sample gift set, I was looking forward to trying the shampoo, & I decided not to use any conditioner ( as advised) in order that I could assess it properly. I have very thick hair, although it is finely textured, it's also curly. I was a bit apprehensive that I wasn't going to be using conditioner but I have to say I'm amazed & impressed by this product! My hair does indeed feel soft & silky, & luckily it hasn't added volume as I certainly don't need it. I be already placed another order today but will be placing another for the full size of this gorgeous shampoo!

This is the best shampoo free from artificial stuff on the market. Hair feels soft, very strong and thick. Gentle, no-nonsense, cleaning. Can be used once a day or even more often, it is so gentle. Won't dry hair or scalp.

'WOW!' This was the first thought that popped into my head after washing my hair with this shampoo. I was slightly skeptical as my hair can be very challenging to keep looking and feeling fresh, even after a few hours from washing it.. but this shampoo is AMAZING!! Not only that but the second day hair is still just as lovely. My hair has never felt so soft and shiney in sooo long. I also love the fact that you only need a small amount and once applied you don't need to use a separate conditioner. Big plus in my books as I'm a very busy mum with no time on her hands!

Since the birth of my second child i suffered from postpartum hair loss, even after 18 months after having him. I decided to look around for a natural shampoo and come across this shampoo. It bought my hair back to life feeling thicker and healthy. My hair got so bad that i ended up cutting it short in hope it would improve, i wash my hair once or twice a week now and have noticed a different since using this shampoo, my hair is growing back and feeling healthy.

Tried other "organic" shampoos - this is the best.

I can't believe after years of a dry/itchy scalp this has worked so quickly.

The instructions for this shampoo were clear and it was easy to use first-time. This shampoo was effective with both long and short hair leaving both hair and scalp clean and smooth. The positive effect was immediate. This shampoo was good. The shampoo has a neutral fragrance (good) with a texture that is easy to work in. I like both. This shampoo suited me well. I shower more than once a day and this product fits with my busy lifestyle. Usually the problem with oft-used shampoo is what problems are caused, with this shampoo there were no ill-effects with more than regular usage. No improvements needed here if you want a simple and good ‘Free From' shampoo. I like this shampoo; it delivered with no empty marketing promises. I would use it again. The labelling was simple and the ingredients ‘Free From'. Good value in this market (it goes a long way). The pump delivery system was very good and survived several beatings on the gymnasium floor.

My scalp felt loved but my hair was a bit dry and although the instruction indicate you don't need to use conditioner, I did feel the need to return to the bathroom and apply some - but I really did just need a little to soften no way as much as I normally would on my manic curly hair - it will be interesting to see if I stop needing conditioner after using for a few washes - my scalp really does feel amazing, I haven't felt the need to massage it to try and get the oils flowing to relieve that tight itch once today. Because of the lack of promised conditioning to my hair, I felt the shampoo didn't really do it's described job but I have to say my hair has never looked better, styled easily (after using a little of my normal conditioner), kept it's shape all day and most people that know me have said how good my hair has looked today and I deliberately didn't use any styling product this morning either, amazing. The smell was delicate, I'm not sure I liked it - felt more medicinal then luxury but the lack of pretty fragrance was probably why my scalp didn't feel tight and creepy whilst I was drying my hair. I didn't like the gloopy texture at first because it didn't seem to lather well but it rinsed out really easy and my hair has been bouncy all day. I have had no eczema behind my ears, which I have been plagued with for a few years, not tightness to my scalp. My hair has be so easy to manage, full of shine and bounce. I found that even after a month of constant use, I still had to use conditioner but by the end of the month is really was just a touch about the size of a pea when in the past my hair really needs a very good handful of conditioner - so I do feel really that it has delivered on the promise of not needing conditioner , for my slightly dry frizzy curly hair to not need any conditioner at all would be a miracle. I love this shampoo and would definitely buy again - freedom from the itch and fab hair too! I would like a conditioner for those of us who just need a little but you never know after using for another month, I may not need it all as stated on the bottle. I liked the packaging as it was unpretentious as was the scent, It all added to the feeling that there really was nothing in this bottle to irritate my scalp, it was kind a lovely and would stay that way, The price was not cheap but when you tried it, you really realised that it was not expensive considering the difference it make to your hair and scalp - love it and have already bought my second bottle.

So I was told by my hairdresser a couple of months ago not to dye or bleach my hair again for a good couple of months because it needed time to recover or it would break. I didn't listen and bits of my hair were snapping off. Thought about cancelling my appointment next week because I couldn't deal with the shame. Ordered this on next day delivery yesterday because I saw amazing reviews - along with the ultra rich balm to put on the ends as recommended for split ends. Well I cannot believe what it's done to my hair! I've used it once and it looks like human hair again. It's thick, shiny. What the hell is this stuff??? I've used every organic shampoo known to man I'm sure and none of them did this. It's incredible. The balm has done a lot for the ends too. I know that not everything works for everyone but this clearly works for a lot of people and for me it's a God send. I can even walk into the hairdressers next week with my head held high.
