    Great Shampoo

Posted by Jinny on 22nd Jan 2018

I love this shampoo. It has a lovely, discreet smell. It cleanses my hair well (which many other organic shampoos I have tried have not done!) Also, I find I don't need to use a conditioner. Another great product, thank you.

    Unfortunate

Posted by Amelia on 20th Jan 2018

I'm a big fan of what odylique stand for (environmental, ethical, made in the UK etc), but this shampoo didn't work for me.
I have flaky and dry scalp which shows up in my dark brown hair and around the edges of my face. I have tried natural shampoos, scalp oils, supplements before but to no avail. After reading about this on a snapchat discover story and then reading the reviews on here I purchased this product and was very optimistic. I used it for over a month, but saw no noticeable improvement in my scalp. Then I changed to a medicated scalp shampoo from the pharmacy and this is the only thing that has helped my dry scalp.
I wouldn't want to discourage people from using this as it seems to work for a lot of people, but just be aware that it is very expensive and doesn't work for everybody. I'd recommend trying some alternatives.

    Hi Amelia,

Thank you so much for your review. We appreciate all feedback! Our formulator has suggested that as you have found that only a medicated shampoo alleviates your scalp condition, the problem is most likely a yeast infection. Consequently, a better organic choice would be our Tea Tree & Herb Shampoo, which should control the yeast infection naturally without drying out your scalp.

I hope this helps and please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

    With thanks and best wishes,

    Odylique

    great service, amazing shampoo

Posted by Edita Church on 12th Jan 2018

I was literally wowed by the service of the company! I ordered one day, next day got an email with conformation of product being shipped, on the third day shampoo arrived. The product came from England to Germany. Even locally ordered things take much longer! I am totally amazed with this company.
Today I had a pleasure to wash my hair with this great shampoo. I have very sensitive skin, I have tried many pricey and not so pricey hair care products, but I have never had anything as good as this shampoo. Definitely a keeper!

    Great Shampoo!

Posted by Jo on 24th Nov 2017

I've been using Odylique's gentle herb shampoo for years now, and the fact I haven't so much as been tempted to try a sample of another shampoo pretty much sums up how happy I am with this one. I initially bought it due to allergies and a desire to reduce my exposure to unnecessary chemicals, but my hair is also really soft and shiny, in great condition, and doesn't get greasy like it used to when I was stripping all the natural oils out with harsher shampoo in the past. It is more expensive than a lot of shampoo in the supermarket, but it contains real ingredients I can actually identify with nothing nasty or irritating to my skin, so I can justify the extra pennies. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!

    Nature friendly and fabulous

Posted by emma on 21st Nov 2017

I've been trying all sorts of natural methods of washing my hair - trying to damage the environment as little as possible. From no-poo to castille soap - they all left my hair feeling greasy and looking drab. This shampoo doesn't. Together with the hair balm, I only have to use a tiny amount and my hair is soft and shiny. I've been using it on my 6 year old daughter's hair too. She suffers with excema and her curly hair is left a tangly mess with many shampoos. It's been great to find something that works so beautifully for both of us, without damaging the planet. We'll definitely be buying it again!

Lose too many hairs when using this product :(

Posted by Sarah on 13th Nov 2017

I used this shampoo for about 12 months, but stopped using it several months ago when I became concerned that it was causing me to lose a lot of hair while I was washing it. Although I was assured by Odylique's customer services that this was normal with an organic shampoo. I then moved to a different organic shampoo and conditioner and found that the problem stopped. I thought I would give the shampoo another go, as I love most of Odylique's products and ordered a small tester which arrived at the weekend. However, trying it again just reminded me why I had stopped using it - I lost about 2-3 times the amount of hair with this product than I lose using the organic, natural shampoo from another company with very similar ingredients.

    Odylique Reply:

    Hi Sarah,

Please try not to worry about hair falling out, it's quite normal to shed hairs daily, as they are pushed out of the follicles to make way for new ones. This amount can vary widely and a gentle natural shampoo, either Odylique or another similar brand, is most unlikely to influence this natural process.

Didn't believe it would work for thick curly hair - but it did!

Posted by Dani on 3rd Nov 2017

Amazing. I sought out a range of hair and body products after developing perioral dermatitis which suddenly woke me up to the horrifying chemicals in the majority of the products I was putting on/in my body. Found Odylique and ordered sample pack. I was least convinced that this shampoo would work for my hair without a conditioner (i had tried another 'sulfate free' shampoo from boots and definitely needed conditioner with that). But I can use this shampoo and not need any conditioner at all. My hair is softer and healthier than it has been for ages (so,so soft) and for the first time in ages I can run fingers through my hair without getting caught in knots. My curls always used to get knotted underneath and that just doesn't happen now, crazy. I do use a drop or 2 of a simple hair oil which helps calm flyaways and define curls but it's not essential. I also don't use that much as for me this is more than I used to spend on shampoo but it still works great. Have just ordered my first 200ml bottle after loving the sample. Very happy and hoping to convince my thick haired family to give it a whirl too!

    Ticks all my boxes

Posted by Rebecca on 23rd Oct 2017

I was hunting the internet for a more environmentally conscious way of cleaning my hair. I had tried a homemade soapnut shampoo liquid but couldn't achieve a thoroughly clean look and feel. This shampoo gets me there. I know that I'm putting nothing nasty on me and nothing nasty down the drain into our water system. I'm so confident that I've just purchased the Tea Tree one for my mum who is suffering a bad flare-up of a dry itchy scalp. I love that this product is made in the UK supporting our economy. TIcks all of my boxes in my attempt to be a more conscious consumer and people have commented on how my hair is looking in great nick. I use two pumps and after the second wash can comb through with no help from products,
