5 All I hoped for....
Posted by Linda on 9th Jul 2017
I bought this shampoo for two reasons - I'd been researching shampoos for natural ingredients for a while and this looked by far the closest you can get. Shampoo appears to be a particularly difficult thing to find in a natural formula. Secondly I was attracted to the claim that it negated the need for a conditioner - I liked the thought of the simplicity of a shampoo that conditioned. You need to give this a bit of time - I was initially thrilled, then less so because I felt it was making my ends a bit dry (a little balm sorted that problem) and then one day it just clicked. I could comb my hair after showering and no missing a conditioner. It makes my hair feel 'normal ' - clean, fresh, happy and comfortable. Soft, shiny and with a bit of bounce (which is saying something, I have VERY fine hair!!) I bought the larger size which I like being able to do, and will definitely repurchase.

5 Love this Shampoo
Posted by Ally on 5th Jul 2017
About a year and half ago, I decided to go natural, ditch the shampoo and try the no poo method where you don't use any shampoo to wash your hair - just water or baking soda/vinegar. It didn't really work for my fine, scaly, oily hair though - it just looked like a mess so I started looking for natural shampoos without sulfates to make my hair look good. I stumbled upon this shampoo, tried it and I love it. I love the fact that it is made of ingredients I recognize, that I don't have to rinse and repeat, and that I don't have to use any conditioner. It has also gotten rid of my stubborn dandruff - which is impressive to say the least. I also received some nice compliments on my hair! I've been using this shampoo for about a year and I plan on sticking with it for good. The only negative with my first bottle was the lack of lather when I applied the shampoo but that wasn't the case with the second bottle, making it much easier to properly massage my scalp. I really like the pump as well and the fact that the bottle is made from recycled bottles is a real plus. So a big thumbs up from me!

5 Amazing
Posted by Jen on 23rd Jun 2017
This is the best shampoo I have ever used and it has saved my thick bleached hair. I used a little too much to begin with and It did fade my colour slightly. Now I just use one pump which is all I need for my thick hair and the colour is fine. After one wash my hair feels so soft and silky and I am happy its organic and Isn't filled with nasty chemicals. I've got really sensitive skin and this works perfectly for me and I haven't had any reactions. I do need to use a conditioner aswell because my hair is thick and bleached and I like to know the shampoo is all washed out. I will carry on purchasing only this shampoo. love love love!

I have been searching for a shampoo to treat my itchy scalp for ages. I have tried many products but none have worked like this one does. From the very first use I could feel the difference.

5 Lovely shampoo
Posted by Laura on 15th May 2017
I absolutely love this shampoo! I've been using it for three+ months now and my hair is super soft, I have barely any split ends (what?!?! Crazy considering I haven't cut my hair in three months) and my hair has so much volume. Even my partner has noticed how much thicker my hair looks and I think it's down to not having to use a conditioner!
FYI: I've used both Gentle Herb Shampoo and the Tea Tree & Herb Shampoo and I honestly can't choose between them. Although I would say I find my hair gets greasier quicker with the Herb Shampoo, whereas with the Tea Tree Shampoo I can normally last an extra day between washes. They're both amazing and I'd suggest trying both to figure out which one you prefer. -
5 For once the reviews were right!
Posted by Glen on 7th May 2017
I abused my hair and scalp. I would shampoo with sulphates, leave out conditioner, pull on my hair and blow dry it so badly I used to look up and see smoke coming from the back of my head. This happened every day because I was worried about grease. A mess. My hair thinned and my scalp developed a waxy substance for which I was put on Capsal and T Gel by my doctor and that eventually cleared the wax but I was left with an itchy, inflamed scalp at most times. I tried lots of shampoo like Nizoral for anti flakes and Nizoral and Alpecin Caffeine to regrow hair (which burned even more) or other varieties of T Gel, Baby Shampoo etc. but nothing worked. I also started using conditioners but they either left my scalp and hair greasy, limp or irritated it even more which I only found out later could have been the case. I wasted so much money but came across an article where a trichologist who works with herbal medicine stated that lots of companies market with unusual ingredients, we take their word for it but the ingredients don't help and are not supposed to help with anything. It's all marketing. I looked up some of the things she then recommended having in a shampoo and by some miracle came across this. I have been using it for months now and just upgraded to the 500ml which has been lasting me ages. I haven't had a temperamental itch or an inflamed scalp for I don't know how long and that's true even when I skip washing my hair because I'm lazy and it goes greasy etc. One wash and it's back to normal. I would say that while I can use it without a conditioner and my scalp and hair is good, I do because I sometimes find it hard to get my fingers through my wet hair when I'm rinsing and I'm paranoid that I won't get it all. I use Salcura omega conditioner which you also rub into scalp and I don't have any problems, though would LOVE and be first to buy if Odylique came out with a scalp nourishing conditioner or mask. For once the reviews were right, I have the type of luck where there might only be one bad review but that will reflect my eventual experience. This is gentle, easy to use, has a good lather without waste if you rub it in for long enough each time you apply and has cured my temperamental scalp. I have my brother using it, my mother using it. I will not use another shampoo.

3 Disappointed overall
Posted by Gemma on 1st May 2017
I wanted so much to be a convert after reading the theory behind this, but I just can't get on with it. It feels so rough to spread it over my scalp, it has really put me off. Also my hair feels like old rope as soon as I put it on, and even worse once it has rinsed off! Once dry, my hair is basically a birds nest... Unthinkable to not use a conditioner afterwards. On the positive side, it does a good job of cleansing, my sensitive scalp does not react, and I could go a lot longer between washes compared to using chemical shampoo.
[Odylique Reply]
Hi Gemma, thank you for your review. I'm sorry you've had this experience with the shampoo. If you're switching from a chemical shampoo, our organic shampoo will initially be reversing the covered up damage - conventional shampoos mask any damage to hair, rather than preventing it, so this may explain why your hair felt a bit rough afterwards. Do persevere with an organic shampoo - it can take 28 days for your skin to get used to a product. We usually recommend washing 2-3 times a week for four weeks to see how you get on. If you still find your hair a little dry, I would recommend applying a little conditioner when you shampoo and reduce the amount of conditioner every time you wash. I'm really happy to hear that you thought it did a good job of cleansing and your scalp didn't react! -
5 Very gentle
Posted by Sarah on 30th Apr 2017
This is a great shampoo, very gentle and good for my hair. However, as I have coloured hair I find that I do need an added conditioner at times as the shampoo by itself isn't enough. Odylique, please make an organic gentle conditioner to go with this shampoo.

5 Gentle Herb Shampoo Review
Posted by Erika on 29th Apr 2017
I've been trying this shampoo for the last couple of weeks and I'm really liking it so far!! I slowly starting making the change to more natural products and have started with my shampoo. After I started reading the labels of my old shampoos and starting googling ingredients I wanted to find something that was as natural as possible. This shampoo did take some getting used too. I followed how it was shown to use it and i'm waiting to see if after about a month i wont need conditioner. The ends of hair are still super dry and stat-icky so I've had to use a hair oil on my ends.
