    Brilliant.

A little goes a long way. Great results on my fine hair and occasionally itchy scalp. Fuller, softer and squeaky clean. Love it. Wish I'd found it sooner.

Simply a wonderful product for my fine hair and occasionally itchy scalp. A little goes a long way. No need for conditioner, which is often too heavy for my hair. Results are great -very soft and fuller hair. At last I have found a product that really does do what it claims.

    Refreshing

Posted by Heather on 5th Oct 2015

I purchased this and the Gentle Herb shampoo to try since I have a sensitive scalp but also fine hair that can get oily and limp at the roots. I have tried loads of natural and organic shampoos in the past and have never been impressed, so I was pleasantly surprised to find that I liked both of these, but I found that this one works better for me. I was a bit nervous about the idea of not using a conditioner, since my hair is long and the ends can get dry, but I was amazed at how easily I could comb out my hair after washing. After using it for a few weeks my hair feels and looks healthier than it ever has. It feels really balanced - the roots have better lift than before and it's silky right to the ends. It leaves the hair with a light herbal scent which just smells really clean.

    Love it

Posted by Izabela on 7th Jul 2015

After using Herb Shampoo I wanted to try Tea Tree. My hair were silky and shiny as after Herb Shampoo. Love the fact that there are no nasties too. Smell is stronger because of the tea tree I guess but after couple of times I get used to it. I have a fine hair, shoulder length so five pumps it is enough for the whole head and it leathers well. I searched many reviews about people washing head less then before but for me I still have to wash them every day as the next day my hair are very oily. Despite that I still love it.

If your hair is oily the day after washing it could be rebound oil production due to over-washing. Try just 3-4 pumps - enough to distribute a low lather through your hair. Trust me, this will still cleanse well whilst helping to regulate sebum production so you don't need to shampoo every day!

    Gorgeous!

Posted by Hannah on 26th Feb 2015

I am so glad I came across this shampoo. I only use Soil Association products for my skin and had been on the look out for a shampoo that worked for some time, this definitely works. I have fine hair that is prone to be greasy, I've tried home made organic shampoos (essentially no poo method!) to no avail, and really don't like using synthetic chemical based shampoos anymore. Odylique shampoo has been a god send, it has transformed my hair from first wash! It feels lighter, is silky soft and when it does get greasy it is still manageable - greasy without the weight just how our hair should be! Hair shouldn't ever be thick with grease!!!! I have really noticed a massive reduction in shedding, especially when washing which I am really pleased about. I have already recommended to my housemate who's put in an order too! Brilliant - thanks!

    Clean clean clean!

Posted by Kelly on 17th Jan 2015

I use this when i feel my hair is particualy greasy or 'dirty' and feels like it needs a good clean. It really does that job! But not in a way that makes it horribly dry or tangly, its cleans my hair but leaves it soft and shiny at the same time :)

    Good for frequent use

Easy to use, gentle and value for money as longlasting. Just a faint scent so don't feel overpowered - just clean!

    Soothing!

Posted by Charlotte on 14th Nov 2014

Recently my eczema flared up in my scalp, making washing my hair very painful, I get sore patches and need something that will calm the itchiness I get and soothe, calm my scalp, as I have naturally curly hair shampoos sometimes dry out my hair, make it uncontrollable, but this shampoo is very gentle and cleans my hair, soothes my scalp and when the eczema is flared up I love the cooling sensation I get from this shampoo! (For a conditioner I use a small drop Odylique superfruits concentrate and a small amount of the wonderful Odylique Ultra Rich Balm in my hair)

    New Improved Odylique formulation

Posted by Yasmin on 31st Oct 2014

Abi (one of the founders of Essential Care) so kindly sent me a full sized bottle of the new formulation of the Odylique Tea Tree & Herb Shampoo after not having very good results with the Essential Care version which I had previously reviewed. There was a definite improvement in the product, my hair did not feel sticky at all and the shampoo was easy to wash out. It still has the fresh scent and the rich creamy consistency. I will surely purchase this product again.

Noo need of hair conditioner anymore.

Posted by Edita Zidonyte-Naeem on 24th Oct 2014

Since I remember myself, I was always using hair conditioner for my long dry wavy, and difficult to look after, hair. I had a scalp problem too. To be honest, i was feeling little unsure how my hair will feel and look after using only shampoo. But now i feel happy about my choice - my scalp problem improved, my hair looks shiny and healthy. And i don't need to use conditioner to reach this effect.

    Not for me

Posted by Yasmin on 15th Jul 2014

I usually give very positive feedback on Essential Care products but unfortunately this time it's mostly negative. This product just isn't suitable for my hair. My hair is fairly thick, long and and greasy. The shampoo is thick and creamy and felt lovely in my hand but when I applied it to my hair, it was not easy to spread it over my scalp. I had to use 5-6 pumps. I felt that it didn't rinse out easily and my hair felt slightly sticky when it dried. It was not shiny or silky as I was hoping. I have used it many times and had the same bad experience.

    Reply from Abi:
Hi Yasmin, So sorry your experience with the Tea Tree Shampoo hasn't been as positive as with our other products. You might like the new Odylique formulation when we launch it in a few weeks time. It is has improved natural conditioning properties vs. the Essential Care version. Kindest regards
