Gentle Herb Shampoo

It took me about 7 years to finally track down a shampoo that didn't irritate my scalp after I developed a severe scalp allergy, but this shampoo cured the problem within a couple of weeks. I can't imagine using anything else and I'm truly grateful to whoever developed the formula.

I have very fine, thin hair which gets greasy very quickly. I tried this shampoo out and my hair felt softer, lighter, and took less time to dry. It's also lasted longer before needing shampooing again, and I've only used it once so far! I'm impressed with how soft my hair is without conditioner, and hopefully the more I use this the longer my hair will be able to go between washes.

I have thick hair and love this product as it gently cleans and conditions my hair.

Been using this for many years now since the early days of Essential Care. No itchy scalp, no need for a conditioner and hairdressers always compliment the condition of my hair.

I've only tried 20ml so far but that was enough to look forward to using up my current shampoo and conditioner to be able to order some of this! I was very surprised to find how conditioning it was and think it will help me use less water in the shower - my hair usually takes me quite a bit of time and water to wash and condition and being able to do both at once will be great for my time in the mornings as well. It smells and feels lovely as well!

I have only been using this shampoo for a short time, I already notice a difference in my hair. It is shinny and itches much less. I am hoping that in time the itching will disappear entirely.

I found Odylique v recently because I was trying to find a cleaner, greener, more gentle shampoo. I have been using the Liz Earle till now. This is the only shampoo I have found that had no ingredients in it that were flagged up as problematic when researching. I am 49 (aargh!) and have long straight, fine, dark hair that would I suppose be be about 40% grey if not coloured. BUT I use 100% organic henna and indigo natural hair dye at home (which is amazing by the way) so in fact my hair is in excellent condition. I've always had a problem with tangly hair - without conditioner it has always been sticky, dull and tangly....so I was a bit worried. I followed the instructions to the letter, but twice (waiting the recommended few mins each time before washing out). There is less lather (good sign of good ingredients) and I felt I needed 2 goes to clean properly. I normally comb through my conditioner with a detangling brush in the shower so I did this with the shampoo instead. I was amazed to find it was as good as if I had used a conditioner. I have used it 3 times on the trot now and love the simplicity of not using a conditioner. Last time I forgot to comb through, but it was still no problem. It seems to make my hair very light and weightless and so it is a bit fly away. I have not used the balm but after the last wash did smooth a v small amount of organic hair oil over the hair to make it less fly away - that worked well. My hair has remained shiny and somehow feels as though it has less product on it (even though I did not use any before) - it feels really clean - it seems to dry quicker. I am going to try the other shampoo as well. It might suit me better or I might alternate. I am very pleased I found this shampoo. Thank you Odylique.

This is by far the best shampoo for me. I am intolerant of chemicals and this one does not cause any problems. It leaves my hair shiny and soft so I am happy,thank-you.

This gently but very effectively cleans your hair but without leaving any artificial residue.

I have a very sensitive scalp and as well as needing a chorine filter I have used this shampoo for years after the 'head and shoulders' stopped working. It is great and my scalp is less flaky and itchy as a result

It's taken my hair a fair amount of time to get used to this shampoo, but it's been well worth it.
At first, my hair had more body, but it looked a bit dull, and gradually my hair began to feel better, although it didn't look much better. Now it feels lovely and healthy, with more body than it's ever had before. I have incredibly fine hair, so it's always looked a bit lank, but no more!

The only real gripe I have with this product is that it's a pain to distribute evenly throughout my hair. It tends to just sort of stick to the first point of impact and refuses to blend as much as traditional shampoos do. However, the more I used it the better it got, whether it's my hair being more accepting, or me developing a better method of distribution I'm not sure.
